TV Show Plot For You Dont Say

Tom Kennedy hosted both the original version and the ABC version of You Don’t Say! When the show was later syndicated, it was hosted by Jim Peck. The announcers for the show included John Harlan and Jay Stewart.

The format of the original version of You Don’t Say! involved the competition of two celebrity teams. The idea was to give clues as to the name of a famous individual. The celebrities competing had to sound out the famous individual’s name until they got it right. The teams were not allowed to give away any clues that might lead to the proper name of the person and could not use anything that might give away the answer. Once they scored three points, they would win.
