TV Show Plot For Angie

Angie took place in the city of Philadelphia, and starred Donna Pescow as the title character, whose full name was Angie Falco Benson. Angie was a former waitress who wound up being swept off her feet by one of her wealthier customers, Brad Benson, who was played by Robert Hays. Much of the show’s conflicts revolved around the two families – the wealthy, blue blooded Bensons and the blue collar, urban Italian American Falcos. The cast was rounded out by John Randolph, who played Randall, the stuffy father of Brad; Doris Roberts as Angie’s mother Theresa; Debralee Scott as the sister of Angie, Marie; and Tammy Lauren, who played Brad’s niece Hilary.

After the premiere of Angie, in which Brad and Angie got married, viewers quickly lost interest in the interplay between the two main characters. Five weeks in to the show’s second season in the year 1980, it was cancelled due to poor ratings.
