This ‘70s movie is a classic nature documentary. It explores the life of a fox family.

Film Plot For Glacier Fox, The

The Glacier Fox is a Japanese documentary movie about a male fox. As the film begins, the fox is protecting his territory and seeking a mate. He finds one in the form of a vixen after fighting off an invading male. The pair go on to create a den together. The vixen eventually gives birth to four cute cubs, one of which is blind. Eventually, tragedy strikes the fox family. The blind pub is washed away when it gets too close to a high tide. The mother then succumbs to death, when she walks in to a trap containing a dead chicken, has her leg ripped off, and bleeds to death. The rest of the family is reduced to watching her die as they sit beneath a tree. The single fox must now raise his family alone.

The Glacier Fox is a riveting film about the cruelties and beauties of Mother Nature. It should not be viewed by young children, however, as some of the material is highly disturbing.
