Labelle

Hey Sister, Go Sister, Soul Sister, Sister Flow
Hey Sister, Go Sister, Soul Sister, Sister Flow

He met Marmalade down in Old New Orleans
Struttin' her stuff on the street
She said "Hello,
Hey Joe, you wanna give it a go?" oh

Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Ta Ta
Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Here
Mocha choca lata Ya Ya
Creole Lady Marmalade

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?

He sat in her boudoir while she freshened up
The boy drank all her magnolia-wine
On the black satin sheets oh I swear he started to freak

Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Ta Ta
Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Here
Mocha Choco Lata Ya Ya
Creole Lady Marmalade

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?

we come through with the money in the garter belts
let him know we bought that cake straight out the gate
all us independent women, some mistake us for who'res
"I'm saying why spend mine when i can spend yours?"
Disagree, well that's you and i'm sorry,Imma keep playing these cats out like Atari
Wearin' high heel.shoes getting loved by the dudes
Four bad ass chicks from the Moulin Rough
"Hey sister, sole sister betta get that dough sister"
We drink wine with diamonds in the glass
bottle case the meaning of expensive taste
"Ya wanna Gitchi Gitchi yaya,Mocha Choco Lata what
Oh real Lady Marmalade
C'mon, one more time
Marmalade(x3)

Touching her skin feelin' silky smooth
The colour of cafe au lait
Made the savage beast inside
Roar until it cried, More, More, More

Now he's back home doing 9 to 5
Living his grey flannel life
But when he turns off to sleep
Old memories meet, More, More, More

Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Ta Ta
Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Here
Mocha Choco Lata Ya Ya
Creole Lady Marmalade

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi
Voulez-vous couher avec moi, ce soir?
Voulez-vous couher avec moi

Creole Lady Marmalade oh
yea

Labelle Artist Fact:

The group’s history goes back to the year 1961, when another group by the name of the Ordettes, featuring Patricia Holt and Sandra Tucker, were seeking additional singers. Dash and Hendryx soon joined. After Tucker left that group, she would be replaced by Cindy Birdsong. The group changed their name to the Bluebelles, and Holt changed her professional name to Patti LaBelle. The group’s first single was “I Sold My Heart to the Junkman,” although LaBelle later claimed that they did not actually perform on the original track. Apparently the original group disbanded shortly after the single was recorded, and the Bluebelles were recruited to re-record the song. With the Bluebelles singing it, the song became a major hit. They would follow it up with such tracks as “Danny Boy,” “Down the Aisle,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”...Labelle Bio
