Random 70's Artist BiosNitty Gritty Dirt Band -Before they attained any major degree of success, the Nitty Gritty Dirty Band made their “debut” in the film Paint Your Wagon, performing a bluegrass style song called “Hand Me Down that Can of Beans.”...![]() Brownsville Station -The band’s original members include Mike Lutz on guitar and vocals, Tony Driggins on bass and vocals, and T.J. Cronley on drums. Cronley eventually left the band and was thereafter replaced by Henry “H-Bomb” Weck, a native of Van Wert, Ohio. In 1975, the band was joined by Bruce Nazarian, a multi-instrumentalist and Detroit-based session musician. ...![]() Sly and The Family Stone -The roots of the band go back to the year 1967, when brothers Sly and Freddie Stone decided to combine their respective bands in to one singular unit.
