Queen Artist Bio and LyricsThe English rock and roll outfit Queen are perhaps one of the most important bands in the history of popular music. They were formed in the year 1970 in London from the remains of a former band called Smile. The original line up included Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Brian May, and Roger Taylor. The band is known as the most successful British band of the last three decades. They became popular in the mid-70s and continue to exert a major influence and maintain a large fan base around the world.
