Fancy Artist Bio and LyricsBorn Manfred Alois Segieth on the 7th of July 1946, the German Eurodance performer Fancy attained the peek of his popular in the 1980s. He started off his career singing in the popular German genre schlager. During this period of his career, he was known as Tess Teiges. Then, in the 1980s, he changed his name to Fancy and scored his first major hit in the year 1984 with “Slice Me Nice.” Fancy’s name was quickly elevated to the top of the charts. His numerous follow up hit songs include “Bolero,” “Flames of Love,” “Lady of Ice,” and “Chinese Eyes.”
In addition to his prolific career as a solo artist, Fancy has also recorded for many other artists, scoring numerous hits under different pseudonyms. Under the name Ric Tess, or just simply Tess, Fancy has produced and written songs for such artists as Timerider, Grant Miller, Mozzart, Linda Jo Rizzo, the Hurricanes, and Marc Buchner. An avid student of astrology and various esoteric subjects, Fancy is famous for once stating in an interview that he is a “moon child.” Fancy has also recorded music for his friends Siegried & Roy.
