The albums Hotel California and Eagles: Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 are considered two of the best selling albums of all time, according to statistics released by the Recording Industry Association of America. Hotel California was chosen as Number 37 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The band was also included on the magazine’s list of the greatest 100 artists of all time. Alongside Aerosmith, the Eagles are the best selling American rock band. The album The Eagles: Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best selling album in the United States. After Michael Jackson’s album Thriller, it is the best selling record in the entire world. While the Eagles disbanded in the year 1980, they would get back together in 1994. The band continues to tour and record on a regular basis. In the year 1998, the Eagles were inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band’s current line up consists of Joe Walsh, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, and Timothy B. Schmit. The albums of the Eagles include Eagles, Desperado, On the Border, One of These Nights, Hotel California, The Long Run, Eagles Live, Hell Freezes Over, and The Very Best of the Eagles. |
